Wookiee Hut Cuisine presents: Triple Ginger Cookies by Susu This is based on a particularly dumb game that C3PO, in his capacity as nanny for the Solo children, created when playing with Leia and Han's kids. Similar to Earth's "Patty cake, Patty cake" combined with "Duck, Duck, Goose," the game describes how to mix and bake delicious, spicy, sweet cookies. Each of the Solo children was a different kind of ginger (candied, fresh and dried powdered), their toys and favorite droids were the other ingredients, and would be tossed into the "bowl" (usually a paddling pool) and then they'd all run around to "mix." C3PO hates this game, but is too polite to say so. 1 cup white sugar 3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened 1/4 cup crytallized ginger, chopped 1/4 cup molasses 1 egg 2-1/2 cups all purpose flour 1 tablespoon fresh ginger root, peeled and grated 2 teaspoons baking soda 1 teaspoon ginger, powdered, ground 1/4 teaspoons salt extra sugar, for rolling and sprinkling Heat the oven to 375° F. In a large bowl, mix together sugar, butter, crystallized ginger, molasses and egg. Stir into the batter, the flour, the ginger root, baking soda, ground ginger and salt. shape into 1-inch balls and roll in the extra sugar. Place the balls 2 inches apart on a cookie sheet. Squash them down slightly. Bake 5-7 minutes will the edges of the cookie set. Cool on a rack. Yields 4-1/2 dozen cookies.
