Burger Heaven is a New York City burger chain that has been around since 1943. It started out as mainly a burger joint, but with a few renovations and expanding locales, it seems to be more of a diner now. Although they still have a good selection of burgers, they do tend to stick to the basic mainstays. Beef Burger, Cheese Burger, Chilli Burger, Pizza Burger, and Patty Melt. Of course you can add a number of standard items to this American sandwich — like tomato or bacon — to personalize your meal. Also for those who are dieting or have intake issues, they have Turkey and Vegetarian burgers. They have also listed an expanded selection of salads more recently.



My fellow eaters and I have been to several locations in Manhattan and have noticed that the food stays at a generally good level of quality, but the service is variable. One locale had outstanding service. The waiter we had just seemed to be right there whenever we needed anything, but was not intrusive with the asking of, "How is everything." Good waiters just seem to know when to ask, or when not to ask at all. They can see if someone is not happy. On the other hand, with another waiter we had at another location, you could not get his attention with an air horn. He probably would not have even noticed if we would have just walked out and not paid.

I had been going here for years and was very happy with the food, being a meat-loving guy and all, but with the renovations they did (maybe it was a change of ownership) and the menu changes, it seems more of a place that specializes in business workers lunch and lighter fare. I guess there is nothing wrong with that. That is how the market has been trending. But what is a beef loving chunk of man supposed to do??? I guess one could have a hotdog ...
